2025 Year in Review: Growth, Milestones & New Partnerships

As 2025 draws to a close, we’re taking a moment to look back on what has been one of our most significant and rewarding years to date. From major project handovers to new customer relationships and team achievements, this year has pushed us forward in all the right ways.

A Landmark Start to the Year

We began 2025 with a major milestone: the successful handover of the fire detection and suppression system for the new house block at HMP Rye Hill for G4S.

This project stands as our largest individual undertaking to date—a testament to the capability, organisation, and technical expertise of our team. Delivering a system of this scale and complexity set the tone for the year ahead.

Strengthening Our Partnership with Culligan Water UK

Throughout the year, we continued to build on our strong relationship with Culligan Water UK, supporting them with:

    • Compliance work

    • Electrical maintenance

    • Fit‑out works across their cooler refurbishment rooms nationwide

Their ongoing trust in us remains a highlight of our year, and we’re proud to play a part in keeping their operations running smoothly across the country.

Fire Detection & Suppression at Wares Eastern Waste Transfer Centre

Another key achievement was the completion of the fire detection and suppression system at Wares Eastern Waste Transfer Centre. This project further strengthened our reputation in delivering reliable, safety‑critical systems for industrial and waste‑management environments.

A New Partnership with Harry Burrows Fabrications

2025 also marked the beginning of what we hope will be a long and positive working relationship with Harry Burrows Fabrications. Our first projects with them included:

    • Electrical remedial works

    • Relocation of warehouse heaters

    • Installation of new CNC machines

We’re delighted that they have already placed an order with us to complete the electrical fit‑out of a new unit in early 2026. Their confidence in us is greatly appreciated, and we look forward to supporting their growth.

    Celebrating Team Progress: Liam Qualifies

A standout moment internally was seeing Liam qualify as an electrician this year. His continued development, work ethic, and progression have been a real asset to the team. Watching our people grow is just as important as watching the business grow.

A New Customer to Close the Year: AEI UK

In the final days of 2025, we had the pleasure of beginning work with AEI UK, upgrading the LED lighting in their engine test bays. It’s been a strong start to what we hope will become another long‑term partnership.

Supporting All Our Customers, Big and Small

Alongside our major projects, we continued to look after our wide range of customers—from estate agents to domestic clients—ensuring no one was left behind. Whether it’s a large‑scale installation or a small but important job, we remain committed to delivering the same high standard of service.

    Looking Ahead to 2026

We close 2025 with gratitude, pride, and momentum.

New relationships have been formed, existing partnerships have grown stronger, and our order book for 2026 is already filling up.

We’re excited for what the new year will bring and look forward to continuing to deliver high‑quality electrical and compliance solutions across all sectors we serve.

Thank you to all our customers, partners, and team members for making 2025 a standout year. Here’s to an even stronger 2026.

  • A Brilliant Evening at the Villa Works Festive Networking Event 🎄

A Brilliant Evening at the Villa Works Festive Networking Event 🎄

Last night, Villa Works hosted its much‑anticipated festive networking event, and what a night it was! The atmosphere was buzzing with energy, laughter, and meaningful connections as professionals from across the region came together to celebrate the season in style.

The event wasn’t just about exchanging business cards—it was about building genuine relationships in a warm, welcoming environment. From the moment we arrived, the Villa Works team had created a space that perfectly blended professional networking with festive cheer.

One of the highlights of the evening was meeting Alan McInally, the Aston Villa legend himself. His presence added a touch of football magic to the night, and it was a real privilege to chat with him. Alan’s stories and charisma reminded us why he remains such a beloved figure in the Villa community

Both Liam and I attended, and we can honestly say it was one of the most enjoyable networking events we’ve been part of. The combination of festive décor, great company, and inspiring conversations made it a night to remember.

  • Project Spotlight: Fire Alarm Installation at Ware’s Eastern Waste Transfer Centre

Project Spotlight: Fire Alarm Installation at Ware’s Eastern Waste Transfer Centre

    Status: In Progress
    Client: G4S Fire and Security
    Principal Contractor: Balfour Beatty
    System Installed: Gent Fire Alarm

Tillotson Electrical Limited is proud to be delivering the fire alarm installation for Ware’s new Eastern Waste Transfer Centre—a vital infrastructure project led by Balfour Beatty and secured by G4S Fire and Security.

Our responsibility is the installation of a Gent fire alarm system, chosen for its reliability, scalability, and compliance with BS 5839 standards. The system will provide robust protection across the facility, supporting early detection and coordinated response in a high-risk operational environment.

    Site Overview

Ware’s Eastern Waste Transfer Centre is a £24 million development designed to transform Hertfordshire’s waste logistics. Located behind the existing Ware Recycling Centre on Westmill Road, the site spans approximately 1.4 hectares of reclaimed landfill—an area previously closed and unused for years.
The facility will serve as a second transfer hub for kerbside waste, reducing reliance on Waterdale near Watford and significantly cutting haulage mileage, fuel consumption, and carbon emissions. Waste will be sorted and bulked before onward transport for recycling or landfill, streamlining operations across the county.

Construction began in early 2024, with operational launch targeted for early 2026. Engineering innovation has been key: piling was required to float a concrete slab across the old landfill, enabling safe construction on challenging terrain. Planning variations have also allowed for infrastructure upgrades, including water tanks and enhanced safety systems.

    Our Approach

This project reflects our commitment to:

    • Compliance-first installations.
    • Seamless coordination with principal contractors.
    • Operating safely under Balfour Beatty’s Zero Harm protocol.

Every phase—from containment routes to system integration—has been mapped against regulatory benchmarks and teachable frameworks for future replication. Our team is working closely with G4S and Balfour Beatty to ensure smooth delivery aligned with site-wide safety protocols and operational timelines.

Stay tuned for final updates and a behind-the-scenes look at how we deliver fire safety with precision and professionalism in mind.
